Richard Kirkby-Taylor, a Castle ward resident and respected local campaigner, has been selected to stand for the Green Party in Castle Ward in the upcoming local elections on Thursday 5th May.
Richard is a well-known local resident who has lived near to Priory Street in the centre of Castle Ward for over ten years. He is a hard-working campaigner who has been supporting Mark and Steph with their councillor case work, helping to find solutions to any local issues and fighting for everyone to have a bigger and stronger voice in council decisions.
Speaking about standing to be a third Green Councillor, Richard said: “It’s such an honour to have been chosen to stand up for my local community at this election. As a resident, I see both the social and environmental issues our town faces every day, and as a Health and Safety professional I intend to push for solutions to these issues and for the health and wellbeing of residents. I will work to help make central Colchester a fairer and Greener place for everyone”.
Colchester Green Party Councillors Mark Goacher and Steph Nissen won the last two elections in Castle Ward and Richard is best placed to win the third seat in the Ward from the Conservatives in May.
